Here are some ways you can encourage older folks:
1. Show attention by talking to them.
2. Ask about their youth.
3.. Share a happy experience.
4. Giving a word of appreciation.
5. Doing a kind deed for them.
6. Giving a small gift.
7. Sending a birthday card or "get well".
8. Inviting them to lunch.
9. Asking for their advice.
10. Inviting them to go to a play, museum, park, etc.
When someone brings gossip to you, here are some ways to handle it:
1. Say something positive on the subject.
2. Ignore the remark.
3. Change the subject.
4. Keep changing the subject, if need be.
5. Don't add information to the gossip!
Here are some ways to share with others:
1. Share experiences of how God's grace was sufficient.
2. Share your salvation experience.
3. How God supplied specific needs.
4. Share material means with those in need.
5. Join the Shoe Box ministry & Faith Promise.
6. Help with meals for the sick and homeless.
