Here is my prayer for your life:
Our kind and loving Heavenly Father, I thank you for sending Jessica into our family to brighten our way. What a blessing she is! I pray that you will watch over her and guide her in the way she should go. May she keep you first in her life, using the unique talents you gave her to win others to Jesus and to encourage many along the way. I pray that she will find happiness in serving the Lord and that the lives of many will be changed because Jessica has passed their way. In Jesus' name, amen.
Here is a special verse of Scripture or thought for your life:
Especially for my dear Jessica,
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
One time I nearly lost hope. Here's my story:
Once during my long hospital stay at Gaylord Hospital (Wallingford, CT), I was rushed to St. Raphael's Hospital in New Britain, CT, with difficulty breathing. When being taken to surgery at St. R's I could not get air in or out and lost hope of living, wondering about our three daughters without their mother. But God's timing was perfect and the doctor was able to clear the windpipe in time for me to go on living. (That was about 45 years ago!)
When I want someone to listen closely to me, this is the person I go to, and here's why…
When I want to talk about something to someone who will listen I go to someone who has been listening to me for about 60 years—your grandpa! Grandpa* knows me quite well, is interested in my well-being, and loves me in spite of my short-comings. He is rarely surprised at what I may have to say.
