Let me tell you how God helped me through a tough time:
When Aunt Thelma passed away, Grandpa, as her only living sibling*, felt responsible for overseeing the settlement of her affairs. Some of the family, not understanding the law nor how things were done when a person died without a will, caused a big rumpus, making Grandpa and me feel like outcasts. Trusting God to help us through and with the help of an encouraging lawyer, the estate was settled. This was on of the most difficult times of my life but God was with us. He never fails!
*Uncle Bill was still living but unable to tend to things.
Here is a list of some verses from the bible that will encourage you in the hard times.
1. Isaiah 43:1-3
2. Joshua 1:9
3. Psalm 34:19
4. Philippians 4:13
5. Hebrews 13:5-6
6. Psalm 27:11
7. Job 23:10
8. Proverbs 3:23-26
Instead of worrying, try these ideas:
1. Pray about the situation and leave it in God's hands.
2. Go for a walk in the park.
3. Visit someone in the hospital or a shut-in.
4. Go shopping.
5. Clean out a closet or cupboard.
6. Read Phil. 4:8-9 and follow Paul's advice.
